Once every four years, the CCL (LE CONSEIL DE LA CULTURE DES LAURENTIDES) pays an outstanding tribute to a leading Laurentian artist for their lifetime achievements. This year’s Les Grands Soleils Award was presented to visual artist Bonnie Baxter (Val-David) whose nationally and internationally recognized work represents the wealth of talent and creativity that Québec has to offer. Bonnie Baxter is the first woman to have been awarded the Prix les Grand Soleils in the 29 years that this award has been given.
